Jim and Betty Hill, currently serving as site pastors at Living Word-Port Orchard, have been in some capacity of ministry for nearly 45 years. They met when they were 14 years old at the church in Bremerton where they later pastored for 20 years. They also served as youth pastors at the Bremerton church for four years when they were first married, then at Warm Beach Community Church and Mt. View Christian Center in Ridgefield. They have pastored churches in Tacoma, Lyle and Bremerton before coming to pastor the Port Orchard church in 2002. Just prior to coming to Port Orchard, they also served at Capital Christian Center in Olympia as director of the “Over 55” ministry during a 2-1/2 year sabbatical.

They love to travel and camp in their fifth wheel and enjoy having fun with family and friends.

The Hills have six children:  five girls and one boy, plus ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
